Tokoname, Nagoya, Japan: Tokoname's Cat Figurines
Each of these figurines has a meaning, but I can't remember exactly. There were some that were for healthy children and some for studying. There were a lot of fun and interesting creations. They were created by a variety of artists so each one has a unique style and design.
These cat figurines are located on the main road from the train station. If in doubt head towards the giant Maneki Neko head, they are under it. If you want to see the Maneki Neko head up close and personal you have the cross the bridge that you see in the top of this picture. There is a pathway on the other side of the road.
