Inside AyaSofya: Part I

Ayasofya was my favorite mosque in Istanbul. The amount of time and effort that went into building this mosque is incredible. It is one of those places that everyone must visit at least once in their lives.

AyaSofya Mosque: Before Entering the Main Floor

 My ticket into Ayasofya.

A view of Ayasofya. Up next the inside of Ayasofya. I have no good words for describing how beautiful it is inside.

Istanbul: Walking the Non-touristy Path

Sato and I got lost "on purpose" in Istanbul and found some beautiful sights!

From many of the streets we could see the Bosphorus River.

We found a random mosque and it was amazingly beautiful inside and out!

There was a little kitten greeting all the people who came inside this temple. I will show you his picture at a different time. He was really cute and friendly! I hope he is still allowed inside the mosque! He was a nice addition.

Where there's a mosque, there's a place to wash your feet.

I really liked this wall that I saw on one of the streets. There were paintings of different scenes around Istanbul.

A Park In Istanbul

These ladies would give out bird seeds (for a small fee) for you to feed the birds.

 Pigeons everywhere.....

There were a lot of stray cats around the city. The cats were really cute and friendly. I can't remember how many cats we petted during our 3 day stay.
