Bye Miyajima!

 Most of the stores on the island close by about 6pm. Most of the tourists were gone by this time.

島のみせは六時ぐらいにしまります。この時間ほとんどの人はもうかいりました。

 They look like twins since they are standing and eating the same way. I couldn't resist a photo.

ふたごみたい！

 Without the crowds of people it was very peaceful on the island. It was easy imagine what the island must have been like before all the tourists.

この時間に人があんまりいないのでむかしの宮島はたぶんすごくしずかでしてね。

 I really loved the sunset here. I couldn't get enough.

宮島の日没はとてもきれでしあわせのきもちがしました。

Before we got on the Shinkansen (bullet train) we ate dinner. Since we were in Hiroshima we had to eat Hiroshima style okonomiyaki! It's different from Osaka's okonomiyaki, mainly the difference is the noodles, but it's also made a little differently.

広島にいたので広島のお好み焼きを食べました！大阪のお好み焼きとちがっておしかったです。でもめんのせいですごく大きかったです！

Back to the Shores of Miyajima

 It must have been a great place to relax and enjoy the view、but I'm sure it was really dangerous to climb up there.

 This deer was following this couple, because the man fed it some of his corn....his girlfriend was not happy.

 There was this one cherry blossom tree on top of the mountain.

山の上にこのひとつのさくらがありました。

 From the cliff's edge...Don't worry I wasn't at the cliff's edge!

 There are some places to sit and enjoy the view. They sell ice cream and some drinks in the small shop. It must be a hassle to bring the refreshments up from the ropeway station.

山のてっぺんですわる場所があります。アイスクリムと飲み物も買えます。飲み物と食べ物を山の上まではこぶにはたいへんだと思います。

The Ropeway on Mt. Misen on Miyajima

 The ropeway is very safe, but the car is small and it does swing a little bit. If you are claustrophobic or have a fear of heights it may be difficult for you to go up Mt. Misen.

ロ－プウェイはあんせんですけど、ロープウェイはちーさくてたかくのぼります。人によってのれない人もいるとおもいいます。

 The ride up is slow, but beautiful once you clear the trees.

People leave these stone piers around certain locations to pray that they will have a chance to visit again.

Itsukushima Gate Up Close: Miyajima, Japan

 This bridge was very high! It was blocked off so you can't try to walk over it, but even if it was open you would need to hang on to the rails to climb up it.

Walking on the sand you can see lots of tiny crab walking around and going into holes they dug. There were also a lot of tiny shells with snails(?) inside.
