Seattle Series: Chambers Creek Beach

As I mentioned in the previous post this is in the city of Tacoma. Tacoma is about 30- 45 minutes (by car) from Seattle. It is a popular area for people to get some exercise in the fresh air, to walk their dogs or to just enjoy the view!

This bridge goes over some train tracks. If you wait long enough you can see a train pass under here.

If you are into architecture or art you may want to visit this location. Of course, if you are just looking for a new place for a walk you are welcome here too!

Walking around here was very refreshing!

All along this beach you will find drift wood and other things that wash up from the ocean.

A prime example of some visitors walking their dog. (Please be respectful and pick up after your dog! There are places to throw the bags away to help keep this area clean)

Under the bridge you can see 2 people enjoying the beach. In the next post I will take you onto the beach!

Seattle Series: A Golf Course and Remnants of a Building

This golf course, Chambers Creek Golf Course, is located in Tacoma, a city about 45 minutes from Seattle by car. It has a breathtaking view of Puget Sound.

There is a walking trail with hills that many people use for exercise. It takes you by the water and these building remains. I almost seems like the builders had planned on leaving these as art objects.

I don't know for sure, but I think these were holding tanks for grain.

New York Series: Boats and the Waterway

On a sunny day you can see so many sailboats on the Hudson.

I wish I could have ridden on a sailboat during my trip, but maybe some other time.

Pretty hard to miss this big orange ferry.

Because of the storm that had just blown over the sky had a lot of beautiful clouds! Perfect for photos!

I feel like this building was made out of building blocks and not steel and concrete.

The tour guide of our water ride asked that we shout "Happy Birthday" to his wife who was standing on this pier. What a sweet husband to have someone people help send birthday wishes and make his wifes' day.
